How To Make A Boutique BOW

Finally has some time to post some steps on making hair bow.
Steps shown are for making of boutique hair bow.

Actually there are 2 method.

This one posted is the easier one and i find also the nicer :)

Step1

Fold the ribbon into half.
You can use a pencil to make a mark at the divide point.
The ribbon's bow is about 4" if the ribbon is about 50cm in length

Step2

You need to fold the edge of the ribbon to the center dividing point.
Note the way to fold is important.Note the turing point/angle.

Step3

Repeat for the other side. Take note of the folding

Step4

It should look something like this (number 8 :) ) before you proceed to do the folding the 2 bows.

Step5

Fold the side of the ribbons toward the center of the ribbons (as shown in the picture)
Repeat for both left and right side to make the bow

Step6

Using a hair clip to fasten at the center of the ribbon.
This type of clips can easily get from accessories shop like "Aries"/"Chameleon"
You need a bigger one so that there is opening at the side for the thread to go thru at later steps

Step7

Using a thread to tie the ribbons so that a bow can be done. Finally a bow is SEEN!
The thread at least must be 2layer (using those normal sewing thread).
You can also use those cross-stitch thread as long as it is not too thin.
Normally i will go thru 2 rounds before i pull hard to fasten it. As you know the ribbon will have 2 sides, i will do the fastening on the side which will final "front" meaning NOT on the side that going to attach on clip.
This way i feel the ribbons will look nicer, more defined.

Step8

Finally, with the thread is tighten and adjust the ribbon till it look PERFECT to you. Remove the clip and the BOW is ready to be clip :)
